Chapter 1 summary

Initial Exploration

Main Character is exploring and looting the newly discovered Origin Ruins outside of Origin City with Companion 1 and Companion 2. An out of place rock was blown up by dynamite which revealed an escape hatch that led down to an old research station for the Technologists. As the group delve down into the ruins they note that there is a damaged transformer next to the entrance near the hatch (damaged by the dynamite) and that there is electrical power running through the place and there is powered lights guiding the way.

Something Changes

CUTSCENE The research station never runs out of power. The station is siphoning the power from the creature in the stasis pod. Damaging the transformer made it so that it could not keep up with the energy output of the God and the God started pulling the energy back into its body. There are a lot of things using power in the research station, the main one being the stasis pod and also for a force field and holographic projector.

Regrouping

Main Character, Companion 1, and Companion 2 return to Origin City to show off what they have found which draws a lot of attention to the unique and useful things that they brought back from Origin Ruins. They have a celebratory bonfire and use the village relic, Fire Stick, to set the bonfire ablaze. This section of the game functions as a self exploratory tutorial.

Back to the Ruins

A month later the party is approached by Companion 3 who joins the party of Main Character, Companion 1, and Companion 2. They all decide to go back to Origin Ruins. They are almost there when immediately they can tell that the place looks absolutely nothing like it did on the first trip here. They can see buildings that were not there along with entire corridors that seem to have appeared out of thin air.
